The Official Gazette of the Union this Friday (28) published SPA/MF Personnel Ordinance No. 1,310, in which Régis Dudena, secretary of Prizes and Betting, appoints lawyer Francisco Carvalheira Neto as general coordinator of regulation in the body.
With a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Public Administration, Carvalheira had been holding the position of director of copyright regulation at the Ministry of Culture.
His professional experience includes stints in the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate, where he was parliamentary secretary. He also coordinated the Transparency and Access to Information Program of the Ministry of Justice, where he also served as public manager in the Secretariat of Legislative Affairs of the Ministry.
In the private sector, Francisco Carvalheira worked at the company Aribnb Brasil, on leave from his government position.
With the appointment, Carvalheira joins the team that will continue with the licensing process for sports betting and online gambling operators in Brazil.
