This initiative is important to promote and protect the integrity and essential values of sport against corruption, specifically, against the manipulation of sporting competitions.
To understand the importance of this monitoring, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), during the qualification period for the Paris Olympic Games, there were 268 suspected cases of manipulation, the vast majority in Europe. The cases occurred, above all, at tennis tournaments and football matches.
Promoting these monitoring actions, it is clear that, increasingly, sporting integrity is sought and that this year the biggest sporting event in the world will be monitored with the most modern technology and artificial intelligence, thus ensuring that the games continue to take place within the Olympic spirit.
Therefore, during the period of the Olympic Games, Lottopar will receive alerts with possible signs of manipulation, if any, and depending on the level of the alert, Lottopar will ask authorized sites to withdraw bets relating to the sport that has the alert active.
Therefore, Lottopar is certain that the sports activities offered on sites authorized to operate in the state are capable of offering a safe sports betting environment to the people of Paraná.
