AMIG brings together experts for responsible gaming workshop

The Association of Women in the Gaming Industry (AMIG) will hold an exclusive virtual workshop for members, focused on responsible practices in the sports betting and iGaming industry. The event takes place this Tuesday (23) at 2pm (Brasília time) and promises to offer a comprehensive and updated view on the topic. Among the speakers are executives from GLI, Playtech, Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), Rei do Pitaco and Santos Advocacia.

The workshop will be led by industry specialists, offering updated insights into the challenges and best practices in responsible gaming. It will be an opportunity for participants to better understand the legal and ethical nuances that permeate the sector, as well as to explore strategies to promote responsible practices.

AMIG is particularly attentive to the exemplary work carried out by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance, highlighting the commitment to quality and efficiency in regulating the sector. Thus, the workshop aims to significantly contribute to the advancement of the gaming industry in Brazil.

AMIG workshop specialists

The event will feature professionals from the sector who will share their expertise and knowledge on the subject:

  • Irati Aparecida Santos (speaker): Lawyer, compliance officer, and legal DPO, specializing in data privacy, lead implementer of Information Privacy Management by ABNT, and specialist in Digital Law and Compliance. Postgraduate with specialization in Civil Procedural Law, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, Consumer Law, Tax, Registral and Notarial, Business, and training in Digital and Compliance, International Relations with an emphasis on International Law, LGPD-Law 13.709-2018, Project Management and ESG. Member of ANPPD.
     
  • Valter Delfraro Júnior (speaker): Executive of government relations and business development at GLI, supporting gaming certification and regulation globally. Contributes to the analysis of the expansion of gaming verticals and their corresponding regulation by government entities to ensure transparency, integrity, and fairness of the industry for the benefit of Brazilian citizens. Graduated in Data Processing, he led software approvals in various countries. Former member of IT committees at Fenaseg, Sindseg, and Conglomerado Alfa.
     
  • Bárbara Teles (speaker): Lawyer specializing in government relations, regulatory, and public affairs at Rei do Pitaco and director of government relations at the Brazilian Association of Fantasy Sports (ABFS). She is the secretary-general of the Gaming Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association - DF Section (OAB/DF) and co-founder of the Association of Women in the Gaming Industry (AMIG).
     
  • Pedro Extremera (speaker): Regional Director Latin America and Iberian Peninsula at Playtech, graduated from London Business School.
     
  • Leticia Soeiro (moderator): Federal auditor of finance and control since July 2006. Since 2014, she has dedicated herself to the area of lottery regulation, contributing to the drafting of normative acts, analysis of bills, system development, and lottery supervision. She currently serves as coordinator of responsible gaming monitoring at the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance.


Workshop content

The "Responsible Gaming" workshop will bring together the mentioned experts, who will offer a comprehensive and updated view on the topic. The event will be divided into 4 main panels:
