The CEO of Lottopar, Daniel Romanowski, and the CFO, Rogério Nogueira, accompanied by the General Superintendent of Service and Data Governance, Elisandro Frigo, presented the main actions of the autonomous body to Governor Ratinho Jr., highlighting the first six months of 2024.
Among the main achievements is the revenue from regulation, with R$ 27.5 million (US$ 4.95m) in fixed grants in the first months of the year. The resources that enabled gaming operations are allocated to the state government to be used in areas such as public housing, public safety, and social action.
These resources come from two unprecedented operations carried out on B3, the São Paulo Stock Exchange, for the concession of instant, prognostic, and passive lotteries. For the first time in the history of the stock exchange, a state promoted a lottery concession.
Lottery security was also on the agenda, where the accreditation model for certification laboratories, unprecedented and pioneering in Brazil, adopted by Lottopar, was presented to the governor.
As a result, Paraná is the state with the highest number of laboratories authorized to work with lottery and sports betting operators to conduct tests and issue certificates. This ensures the security of the Paraná lottery market at all stages of the process, in addition to offering a safe entertainment experience for Paraná bettors.
Social allocation
In fixed grants alone, more than R$ 27.5 million (US$ 4.95m) was raised in just the first half of this year, adding to the revenue from the fixed-odds betting grants, the 'bets' as they are called in Brazil, amounting to R$ 25 million (US$4.4m) totaling R$ 52.5 million (US$ 9.3m). These resources are allocated to public housing, public safety, and social actions of the Paraná government.
"Lottopar was born with the purpose of overseeing and regulating lottery operations, providing safe entertainment for the people of Paraná, but above all, with a social return. Soon we will announce the allocation of Lottopar's first resources so that the Paraná government can continue investing in the development of our state," highlighted Daniel Romanowski, CEO of Lottopar.
