PokerStars’ Vegas Infinite debuts on PlayStation 5

Vegas Infinite, presented by PokerStars, has expanded its availability by launching on PlayStation 5 (PS5), marking a significant milestone for the free-to-play social casino video game that seeks to expand its audience to console users. This launch enables console players aged 18 and over to download and enjoy Vegas Infinite for free, without the need for a PlayStation® VR2 headset.

With a DualSense™ wireless controller, PS5 players can immerse themselves in the high-stakes world of Vegas Infinite, competing against friends and players globally, including those using PlayStation VR2.

The game offers a comprehensive suite of play money casino games, including cash and multi-table tournament poker, roulette, blackjack, and a diverse range of slots, with craps soon to be added.

Players can personalize their experience with a wide selection of customisable accessories and interactive props, allowing them to express themselves while engaging in real-time chats and reading opponents’ tells, mimicking the live game experience.

The game features various immersive environments, such as private suites, the Galactic Space Station, Showdown Saloon, Macau 2050, and the luxurious PokerStars Casino One, all presented in stunning 4K graphics and smooth 60fps gameplay.

Vegas Infinite was first launched in 2018 as a pioneering virtual reality experience on Meta Quest and Steam platforms. It debuted on Sony platforms in April 2023 with a VR edition for PlayStation VR2. Later that year, in September, it became available on PC, adding a non-VR version to its offerings in one of the game’s most significant updates. A mobile version followed in May 2024, bringing the action to Android users.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming environment, Vegas Infinite employs Tox Mod, an AI live chat monitoring tool, alongside a dedicated moderation team. Players also have access to various in-game safety features, including options to take breaks, set spending limits, report players, and customize their interaction levels with others in the game.

James O’Reilly, Director of Disruptive Innovation at PokerStars, said: “Launching on PS5 introduces a brand-new audience of console players to Vegas Infinite and gives everyone the chance to be part of our community whatever their platform of choice. We’ve been working tirelessly with our development partners at Lucky VR to rework our game for console and I’m very proud of the result.”

The controls are intuitive, the multiplayer gameplay is lively and compelling, and we’ve taken full advantage of the immense power of PlayStation 5 to showcase the depth and vibrancy of our environments. I can’t wait to explore them with our players.
