According to the ordinance, all online games must inform the bettor, at the time of placing a bet, of the multiplication factor that will define the value of the prize to be received in the event of a winning bet. Furthermore, even before placing bets, the payment tables must be available on the websites, following a model defined by the SPA.
“This was one of the most anticipated ordinances by the sector, due to the misguided discussions that have been taking place in various sectors of public opinion about the legality of this type of game. With the detailed rules to be followed, there will be no more doubts about the integrity of games such as slot games, such as Fortune Tiger; crash games, such as Aviator, among others,” says Plínio Lemos Jorge, president of ANJL.
ANJL also highlights that the ordinance defined that the compliance and integrity of these games must be certified by certifiers accredited by the Ministry of Finance, which will provide an extra layer of security for bettors and for the market itself.
“This is very important because players will be able to distinguish between legal operators, who will offer games within the rules, and illegal operators, whose games will not provide any guarantee of fairness in terms of prizes,” adds Plínio.
