Resources from betting are also destined for the most vulnerable communities in the State of Rio de Janeiro. In accordance with its institutional mission, Loterj is committed to social responsibility, dedicating 70% of its net profit to initiatives and projects.
In partnership with ‘Rio Solidário’, Loterj transforms the education and development of around 600 children, funding early childhood education spaces in communities: ‘Espaço Infantil Jardim Batan’, ‘Cidade de Deu’s and ‘Vila do João’.
It also contributes to combating domestic violence against women in Rio de Janeiro, fully funding the ‘Lar da Mulher’. With the capacity to serve 60 women and their children up to 18 years of age, the Home offers individualized care, socio-educational activities, psychological support, among others.
“Everyone benefits from the accreditation of ‘bets’. Far beyond prizes, regularized activity contributes to the collection of municipal, state and Union public coffers. And the collection of taxes returns to society through quality services. A formal betting market gives bettors security and more development for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil,” highlights the president of Loterj, Hazenclever Lopes Cançado.
Other Brazilian, European and North American companies have their accreditation underway: Caesars Sportsbook, Key Solution Gaming of Bet, PNR, Purple & Green and SDL Loterias.
Overcoming challenges, Loterj created a new model for managing the lottery business, led by governor Claudio Castro, who foresees great opportunities for investors to work regularly in the country.
