The president of the association, Plínio Lemos Jorge, met with Roberto Barbosa Alves, deputy attorney general for Institutional, Civil and Collective Protection Justice; and Susana Henriques da Costa, public prosecutor and coordinator of the CAO (Operational Support Center) for Civil and Collective Protection of the MPSP. During the meeting, the challenges that the gaming sector has faced and those that it will still face, based on the regulation of the sector, which is currently underway, were discussed.
Plínio made the association available to the MPSP to collaborate with the formation and maintenance of an integral market and to build future partnerships.
“We agreed to hold a new meeting to conduct some studies with a view to courses and lectures for the school of the São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Association (APMP), which would be aimed not only at prosecutors, but at the legal public in general,” said the president of ANJL.
The meeting with the MPSP is the second in a series of meetings that ANJL is holding with state public prosecutors. In early July, the association had already met with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Goiás.
On that occasion, Plínio and legal consultant Bernardo Freire stated that ANJL will begin to propose positive actions to mitigate player recruitment, especially with youth teams, and will implement such actions together with state and federal public prosecutors, the Civil Police, etc. through possible cooperation agreements. The matter should also be discussed at the next meeting with the MPSP.
