Since this Saturday (17), Pixbet has been on the Betting Management System (Sigap) list of 44 companies - called 'Bets' in Brazil - that have applied for a license to operate sports betting and online games to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance. Once the license is granted, it will begin its regulated operations as of January 1, 2025.
Pixbet is one of the largest sports betting platforms in Brazil and is already among the largest in the world. Leveraged by a bold marketing strategy, the brand is present throughout the country.
Pixbet always seeks to be associated with the main clubs and sporting and festive events in Brazil, helping to consolidate the company's brand and image in the segment, which is expanding rapidly. Pixbet has become one of the largest companies in the segment by always being at the forefront, with a bold and dynamic stance, but with its feet on the ground.
The company has been licensed by Loterj to operate sports betting and online games in Rio de Janeiro since August 2023. In Paraná, Pixbet was approved to explore the activity in November of last year.
In addition, a contract with Flamengo, of which it is the master sponsor, provides for the launch of the Flabet brand, owned by the club, but to be operated by Pixbet.
Federal regulations provide that an operator applying for a national license may only have one state license, which puts Pixbet in a delicate position given that it already has two authorizations and will have to assess whether the issue will be an obstacle to obtaining the SPA license or whether it will have to take the matter to court.
