Caixa Loterias has submitted its application for a license to operate sports betting and online gaming in Brazil, as previously announced by CEF president Carlos Antônio Vieira Fernandes, demonstrating how much the federal government views the economic potential of the activity positively.
The application was entered into the Betting Management System (Sigap) at 5:20 p.m. this Tuesday (20), and will now be analyzed by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance for the start of regulated operations in Brazil.
If authorized to operate sports betting and online gaming, CEF's lottery division is already studying how it will operate in Brazil together with the national lottery network, which consists of almost 14 thousand dealers.
Caixa has all the expertise in the lottery market and will now have to prepare for a new era, with fierce competition from all players authorized by the SPA.
