UOL launches new channel focused on sports betting

The official launch of what promises to be one of the largest content channels for sports betting in Brazil, UOL APOSTAS, was held this Tuesday (20), an unprecedented collaboration between UOL and Clever Advertising, two giants in the sector. The site will feature an extensive and robust information grid that will cover releases on the best bookmakers, guides on how to bet, rollovers, responsible gaming, expert analysis, predictions and odds.

According to Bebeto Pirróm, UOL's commercial VP, the launch of the channel is a major milestone for the industry. “We are offering the entire audience a 100% safe environment, with unparalleled curation, bringing transparency and security to the bettor. And, of course, covering all aspects of responsible gaming with a lot of content, a mandatory discipline to work in this universe with relevance, ethics and commitment.

For Marcos Oliveira, COO of Clever, the collaboration with UOL will bring great benefits to users. “Being able to work in partnership with the largest content publisher in Latin America is a huge responsibility, but also a great opportunity. The connection between the two companies will guarantee the best in terms of content and responsible gaming, providing an integrated and serious environment for users.”

Guilherme Frioli, UOL's head of business for Sportsbetting, explains the importance of the channel and the partnership. “We really wanted to have a channel where we could work on the entire betting ecosystem, but we are talking about an extremely sensitive market that requires in-depth knowledge of the subject, as well as a close relationship with operators and suppliers.”

After months of analysis, we decided to close the UOL APOSTAS operation with Clever, which we consider to be one of the leading companies in the sector today. In addition to being a great partner, it is fully aligned with our values and principles.”

Finally, Pirró emphasizes that it took approximately six months to produce the channel, involving dozens of professionals from areas related to technology, content, editorial and business.

This was undoubtedly one of the most complex projects we have developed. The technology and content teams were vital to bringing this channel to life and from now on we have another great space for entertainment and betting information at the service of our audience.”

UOL was the first major digital communications group to structure a robust operation to meet the demands of the sector, and today it is an essential environment in the media strategy of any operator.
