On the occasion, Caesars Sportsbook Brazil CEO André Feldman highlighted: "We are very happy to start operating in the country, precisely in Rio de Janeiro, a state with a tradition in the gaming sector and Brazil's largest showcase abroad.
"BIG Brazil, through Caesars Sportsbook, will bring experience, credibility and respect to the consumer, with a platform focused on entertainment and responsible gaming. From Las Vegas to Brazil. It’s not Bet, it’s Vegas, in Brazil,” celebrates the executive.
Loterj president Hazenclever Lopes Cançado welcomed the arrival of the largest and most important gaming brand in the world to Rio. “We are very happy with Caesars and BIG Brazil’s decision to invest in Rio de Janeiro. Their accreditation is an incentive for other companies in the sector to follow suit and become regularized in the state.”
Lopes Cançado also highlighted the attractions of the Rio market: “We have the second largest GDP in the country and the third largest population. If Brazil is the “crown of gaming” in the world, Rio de Janeiro is the jewel in the crown. We have 17 million inhabitants, more than the population of many European countries.”
BIG Brazil was approved in the Proof of Concept (PoC) at the end of July, when it presented the platform’s features for operating the fixed-odds lottery and online casino. The company works with the highest compliance standards in the market.
Feldman added that the company's goal now is to expand its operations to all cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro and, in the future, to the entire country.
“BIG Brazil/Caesars Sportsbook has also applied for a federal license. The Rio de Janeiro operation will be the Group's calling card for its national operations, which are expected to begin in 2025,” concluded Feldman.
