galera.bet officially requests sports betting and iGaming license in Brazil

galera.bet has just submitted its application to the General Betting System to operate in the regulated iGaming market in Brazil. Part of the global Playtech group, the company has been consistently preparing itself during the process of implementing the ordinances issued by the Ministry of Finance.

galera.bet, part of the PlayTech group, has submitted an application for a license to operate sports betting and online gaming in Brazil to the General Betting System of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance.

The company had been preparing for this for a long time. At a recent event held in São Paulo, its CEO Marcos Sabiá told the SPA Secretary, Régis Dudena, a speaker at the meeting, that the goal was to operate in a regulated manner and that it would soon submit its license application. Finally, that happened this Wednesday (7).

One of the most prominent companies in the Brazilian iGaming scene, galera.bet has always defended the regulation of sports betting and online games. Since it began operating in Brazil, the company has sought to differentiate itself in the market with attractive offers and many sponsorships to gain public recognition.

Last year, galera.bet reached the milestone of more than 3 million users on its platform and was the first Playtech brand to enter Brazil.

By submitting its leave application, the company joins industry giants such as Kaizen (Betano), SPRBTBR (SuperBet), MMD Tecnologia (Rei do Pitaco), Ventmear (Sportingbet), Big Brazil (Caesars Sportsbook), NSX Brasil (Betnacional, Mr. Jack e PagBet), Apollo (KTO) e Simulcasting Brasil (Betsson) and F12.Bet.
