GMB – You have applied for a license, which is the big news for XSA Sports, which is now a sports betting operator. Could you talk a little about this new moment for XSA?
Jarbson Santana – This is a very important moment for Brazil, for the entire iGaming market and for XSA Sports. The Brazilian industry is currently well-positioned on a global level and it was essential that we have regulation. I believe this was expected in recent years and we have been following the issue very closely. Change was necessary and XSA, as a company consolidated in the sale of sports platforms, needed to offer a new alternative to the market, providing small entrepreneurs and betting houses with a solution to operate in the legalized market.
We could not leave this market out and we created a new project, LOGAME do Brasil, which is already starting its operations and we will come with many fantastic news for the people who are operating in the industry.
In other words, a platform provider that saw how to save small operations. Will this be a path of no return in the Brazilian regulated market?
I don't believe it is a path of no return. It is a path that needs to be followed. In several countries, the gray market, after regulation, faced a new structure, both for bettors and operators. And this is essential. We have to go forward, and we cannot go alone, but rather by taking all those who supported and invested in the market so that they are not left out of the operation. So as not to favor only the large operators. We need to provide opportunities for small entrepreneurs. XSA has always seen it this way.
Is the XSA platform fully certified and ready for the new regulated market?
Yes. We are with GLI and Global Labs, certifiers that attest to our tool. We also have security certificates with Network Securities. And we cannot fail to mention our partnership with Genius Sports, the main odds provider. This is a major differentiator for the market.
LOGAME submitted more than one hundred documents to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting. Are you optimistic about the company's application being quickly approved?
100% optimistic. We have been prepared for this process for over a year. For us, it was nothing new. We believe that being among the 113 companies that submitted their applications within the correct deadline is a major differentiator.
What will the regulated market be like as of January 1, 2025?
It will bring many surprises and Brazil is waiting for them. There are some points that need to be worked on and this was discussed in the panels. There is also a cultural issue, as iGaming operators will now be recognized as businesspeople who pay taxes and contribute to economic development. They will have to implement a whole cultural process in light of this new reality. We ourselves are working on certification and training with operators so that we can reach January without having too many impacts. Our expectations are positive and we believe that the market will change. We are optimistic.
