ANJL supports ordinance that anticipates ban of sites that have not applied for a license

The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) considers Ordinance 1,475 of the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance to be positive. The decision to set a period for bookmakers to adapt to federal regulations starting October 1st is a good one because it will more immediately prevent the actions of irresponsible operators who are not committed to the ongoing regulatory process.

ANJL believes that this period will likely accelerate the perception of millions of Brazilian bettors, as well as representatives of various sectors of the economy, about the differences between serious betting companies that are submitting to Brazilian rules and those that act irresponsibly, including without concern for the financial and mental health of players.

The association emphasizes, however, that it is of great importance for Brazilian society that, after the adaptation period, not only illegal platforms are blocked, but that there are reporting mechanisms that can be made by anyone who is identified as operating. It is not yet clear whether any channel for this will be implemented.

Finally, ANJL reiterates its commitment to an honest and safe market, focused on entertainment and free from harmful practices, which only tend to harm bettors themselves and the entire industry.

Launched in March 2023, the National Association of Games and Lottery defends the interests of its members, the sector and responsible and honest gaming, always guided by the promotion of sports, the security of bets and the contribution to the country's economic development.

Partners include galera.bet/Playtech, Big Brazil, F12, PagBet, Betnacional, Mr. Jack, Parimatch, BetFast, Aposta Ganha, Liderança Capitalização, Z.ro Bank, Propane, Paag, Clear Sale, BetBox tv, StarsPay, WEpayments, 1xBet and PG Soft.
