GMB - How is RubyPlay preparing and adapting to the compliance rules for this new market?
Amanda Slonzon - We are prepared, because we take compliance very seriously, in our hearts. Regulation is very important to us. We are also preparing our product to support operators so that they can enter the regulated market in accordance with the law that was recently enacted.
Our product will have all the regulations that need to be followed and we will certify the games with the accredited entities, with the laboratories, we have partners, so everything will be fine. We are doing everything we can to be ready for that moment.
Were there any difficulties in understanding the rules imposed by the Ministry of Finance and are there any changes needed in your processes and products?
We have already made some changes and configurations. Our platform is very flexible, our product is quite adaptable, we have already implemented everything we need and, of course, we have a well-trained team that is already prepared to do this.
There are always difficulties, because it is a matter of interpreting the requirements. Brazilian law is very specific, well-designed and the Ministry of Finance is very concerned with understanding all the details. We are following up. Of course it is never an easy job, otherwise there would be no need for compliance, but it is important to regulate and prepare the product.
Speaking of compliance, how is your relationship with the laboratories that have been accredited in Brazil and how has it been adapting to all these rules?
We already have a long-standing relationship with the labs. I've been in the industry for 10 years, so that makes things easier. We have a really cool exchange, everyone is working towards regulation, and we only have something to gain. It's great to have this contact with them. We use a lab we trust, which is already looking at our games and doing the tests, so that's positive, it's cool.
Is the government meeting your expectations as developers and primary suppliers to the sector?
In this case, it's much more through the operators. Collaboration with our clients is very important, not to mention our partners. Since it's the operators who apply for licenses, they're the ones who have the most contact with the government.
But all the information is available to us. We have access to everything and it makes it easier to have people who speak Brazilian Portuguese, so we don't have to rely on translations and waste time doing all that. That's why we feel well supported by our clients and partners. There's a really interesting exchange, everyone is concerned about regulation. Everyone wants to be prepared for day one, so it's all positive.
With a professional like you said, with 10 years of experience in the compliance area, is there any recommendation for operators to be aware of when using RubyPlay products?
My recommendation is always to exchange, so let's be honest and transparent. I think this is very important and they are very open to this exchange, to this conversation, to suggestions and questions.
For us, it will be super easy because we are already prepared. We will get everything in order and we will win the regulated market. Our main concern is the player. Understanding that he is our main mission. We have to comply with the rules that are being imposed by the Ministry and we will do business.
And the end users, can the players feel confident with RubyPlay products?
Absolutely! We will bring many new features to the market.
