Former Las Vegas mayor to be a board member of BIG Brazil - Caesars Sportsbook

BIG Brazil, which has just received a license to operate sports betting and online gaming in Rio de Janeiro, presents its first three names for the Board of Directors in Brazil with the Caesars Sportsbook brand. Among them is Jan Jones Blackhurst, former mayor of Las Vegas. The names were carefully chosen to strengthen the market opening in the country.

BIG Brazil - Caesars Sportsbook is expected to begin operations in Rio de Janeiro in the coming months with the expertise of well-established names in the national and international business scene.

In addition to Jones Blackhurst, the CEO of PG&MP, founding partner and board member of Espaçolaser, Paulo Morais, and the CEO and Founder of QYON Tecnologia, Mauricio Frizzarin, form the Board of Directors in Brazil with the Caesars Sportsbook brand.

Jan Jones Blackhurst was the mayor of Las Vegas in the 1990s and later executive vice president and board member of Caesars Entertainment and is a board member of several organizations such as the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Sunrise Hospital and Las Vegas Stadium Authority, in addition to being the owner of Allegiant Stadium. She is also the resident CEO of the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Another successful businessman who will also be part of the betting platform’s Board of Directors is the CEO of PG&MP, founding partner and board member of Espaçolaser, Paulo Morais. With a degree in Law from USP and a postgraduate degree from Universidade Clássica de Lisboa, Paulo has extensive experience in compliance and governance and joined the team at the invitation of BIG Brazil’s CEO, André Feldman.

To join the technology sector, Mauricio Frizzarin, CEO and Founder of QYON Tecnologia, was invited. A software engineer with a postgraduate degree from Harvard and an expert in Artificial Intelligence from Berkeley, the specialist was the founder of Folhamatic, a market leader in its segment in Brazil, which was sold in 2014, being the second largest deal in the history of the software sector in Brazil.

André Feldman, president of BIG Brazil, commented on the importance of choosing the brand's first three board members.
