"Casino.org has become a reference in the gaming and betting market to help Brazilians"

Games Magazine Brasil spoke with Alexander Korsager, head of gaming operations at Casino.org, a website that has become a reference in online casino analysis for Brazilian players. “We are fully committed to Brazilian players, and we want people to find legal casinos with advantages for Brazilians,” the executive emphasizes.

Since its creation in 1995, Casino.org has modernized to provide reviews of more than 80 online casinos for players from different countries. The site is located in more than 100 countries, and one of them is Brazil.

The Casino.org team has casino rankings, analysis of gaming sites by category, payment methods, free games and much more. There are a total of 10 experts who help create and optimize content for Brazilian players.

Alexander Korsager spoke with the Games Magazine Brasil team and highlighted how Casino.org has become one of the reference sites in the segment of casino reviews for Brazilian players.

GMB - Thank you for welcoming the Games Magazine Brasil team, Alexander. Tell us, how did Casino.org start?
Alexander Korsager
- The initial idea behind Casino.org was to serve as a source of information for players from different countries. We noticed that casinos were becoming a trend, and we wanted to be part of this development.

At first, we asked ourselves what the most spoken language in the world was and we came to the conclusion that English was the starting point we should take. Later, we focused on Spanish to start creating content aimed at players who speak that language.

It was only after we established our presence in these two languages that we began working in Brazilian Portuguese and other languages. Today, Casino.org is a website that has native-level content for over 100 nations, including Brazil.

The Brazilian casino and betting market is now officially regulated. How is Casino.org dealing with all these changes in Brazilian law?
First of all, I want to say that we are very happy that Brazil has made progress in regulating and legalizing online casinos and betting houses. It is great to see all the new rules to regulate a segment that was previously in the dark. There was definitely a lack of direction for companies to operate in this sector.

Our team of experts in casino analysis and the entire Brazilian iGaming market includes native Brazilians. Fortunately, our professionals are dedicated not only to creating content, but also to constantly updating information so that players can stay up to date with everything that is happening in the online gaming market.

The main change we have adopted within Casino.org was to completely remove any illegal websites. Currently, players who access our website will only find platforms that are legal in Brazil.

Another important change was the implementation of a greater focus on responsible gaming. We know how important this topic is and I wanted to take this opportunity to make it clear that we fully support the good practices presented by the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR).

There are over 100 casinos on the list of sites allowed in Brazil. How can Casino.org help Brazilians choose the ideal casino?
Our goal is to help Brazilians. To achieve this, we rely on an approach based on careful evaluations and very well-defined criteria. In addition, we consider all possible scenarios to reach the conclusion of which is the best site for Brazilians to register on.

Problems with support, errors when depositing, availability of games and many other issues are analyzed. During our checks, we also adopt a systematic analysis of the games.

We like to feel in the player's shoes. This leads us to create our test register at the casino and then test a selection of games. This is how we arrive at Casino.org's list of the top slots in Brazil and many other games that casinos offer.

We know that many of our competitors establish partnerships and promote partner sites, even if they are not the best. We at Casino.org are not like that. We are completely transparent with our audience so they know they can trust our reviews, as they are based on the same criteria for all casinos and not biased towards the highest paying ones.

There is great concern about Brazilians' debt from gambling. How do you see the level of debt with the legalization of gambling and casinos?
We at Casino.org are aware of the studies related to family debt from online gambling. We had access to Special Study No. 119/2024 from the Central Bank and were surprised by the data we saw related to Bolsa Família. After all, they did not match our analyses of the profile of the Brazilian player.

It was only when the Central Bank issued a technical note making it clear that identification could be subject to errors that we noticed that the data was not as alarming as it was reported. Then we realized that we are closely monitoring Brazilian player debt from casinos and gambling.

In particular, one of the studies I liked the most, of all those related to this topic, was the Characterization and economic repercussions of the fixed-odds betting market in Brazil, by LCA in partnership with IBJR.

It was in this research that they published that gambling and playing casino games with real money is still a novelty among Brazilians. I was also happy to learn that the debt of Brazilian gamblers with betting and casinos is below 1%, according to the study's estimates. It was also satisfying to see that more than 70% of Brazilians do not consider gambling and games as investments. It is very cool to see that Brazilians are becoming aware that this is not a type of entertainment to invest in, but rather to have fun consciously and without debt. I believe that this is the path that should be followed and we at Casino.org follow this same mentality, always making our players aware of the risks associated with each game they choose to play.

Many Brazilians are just starting out in the world of casinos. What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out and wants to have fun at a reliable casino?
My recommendation is that Brazilians always read our reviews on Casino.org and adopt the 15 principles for responsible gaming and player protection from the IBJR. If the site offers it, activate features to limit the time of use and the expenses that the player has at a casino.

Another recommendation I have is that Brazilians try to stay up to date with the latest news in the casino market. Since everything is changing, it is possible that many new things will come in the future.

We at Casino.org are completely committed to Brazilians and want them to feel completely welcome to contact us whenever they need. Our team is always available to answer questions and help them choose the best site to have fun.
