
The purpose, according to the law, is to regulate and explore the lottery modalities permitted by federal legislation. The Finance Department will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and granting the lottery, which will have the possibility of physical and virtual means for betting.
The funds raised, still according to the new legislation, will be used to pay prizes and taxes, operational expenses and finance public policies.
A portion of the funds will be directed to the municipality's Social Security Regime (RPPS) to cover deficits until 2050. Also according to the text, prizes not claimed within 90 days will be reverted to the RPPS.
The operation of the service will be subject to specific controls to prevent fraud and protect data. In addition, the law will adopt measures to prevent pathological gambling and protect minors.
