Reals Bet gives up prime space on Coritiba's shirt to spread message against racism

This Thursday night (30), Coritiba faces Andraus Brasil in the 6th round of the Campeonato Paranaense. The game, taking place at the Couto Pereira Stadium, will be the stage for an important initiative by Reals Bet, the home club's master sponsor. After the racism case involving athlete Léo Pelé, from rival Athletico, the betting company will give up its space on Coxa's shirt to shed light on the cause.

The brand will make the phrase “RACISTS ARE NOT WELCOME AT COUTO” available on the front of its uniform, with the aim of raising awareness among fans and the general public that discrimination based on race or color is a crime and should not be tolerated in any club-owned facility.

“Once again, Reals reinforces its commitment to combating racism and discrimination. It is time to bring about change in our environment and put an end to this type of situation. As a brand that talks to thousands of people every day, we know that we can work to raise awareness in society, especially among fans. In cases like this, rivalry is put aside. We must unite, because racism is a crime and the fight is for all of us,” highlights Rafael Borges, Country Manager of Reals.

“Coritiba is committed to being a club that is increasingly aware and active in the fight against racism. The message on the shirt is important today, but it will be even more important for Coritiba to use its strength so that the anti-racist message reaches an ever-greater number of people. Football and any other environment should be a space of passion, unity and respect – and at Couto Pereira, there is no place for racism or any other type of discrimination,” adds Gabriel Lima, CEO of Coritiba.

With a renewed contract with Coritiba for another season, this is the second time that Reals Bet has given up its place on the club's shirt to give visibility to social causes.

The first was an action in favor of International Women's Day, in March 2024, when the company's name gave way to the phrase “Respeita as Gurias,” in the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Paranaense.

Reals has been operating in the world of online betting since 2022 and has been growing exponentially in Brazil. In 2023, it won the "Rising Star of the Year" award, granted by SiGMA World, which is the world's leading authority on online casino games and betting.

In 2024, it won as the best "Sports Betting House" in the country, in another election held by SiGMA. In football, it sponsors Coritiba, and has actor and presenter Rodrigo Faro on its team of ambassadors.
