GMB – You were recently appointed as the expansion director of Salsa Technology. Does talking about expansion mean coming to a trade show like this, ICE Barcelona?
Eliane Nunes - Definitely. You can't think about growing in the iGaming market without being at a trade show like ICE, looking for new partners, new providers, new companies that can add even more to our technology ecosystem.
Now you've launched a new concept, FORMULA-BET, to encompass this entire ecosystem. What does this concept that Salsa Technology is presenting to the market mean?
FORMULA-BET was the name we gave to our technology ecosystem, which is made up of the PAM platform, fully certified for the Brazilian market, with approval in all possible regulations. We also have our content aggregator, with certified games, our sportsbook and the payment method. So, FORMULA-BET is, literally, a way to accelerate the business of partners who want to enter the Brazilian regulated market and want, in a single place, a 360° solution to enter and “rock”.
Are the partners already assimilating the FORMULA-BET concept well?
Yes! We are literally launching this concept at ICE Barcelona and the reception has been great. We have also diversified the business model according to the needs of each client, and it has been an incredible experience.
Your platform is already quite consolidated and, as you said, fully certified. And Salsa Gator? How is it doing? Increasingly robust in terms of providers and games?
Yes, Salsa Gator, as we usually say, is the aggregator that has the face of Brazil. Salsa has Brazilian DNA, our team is in Brazil and we offer support in Brazilian Portuguese. I think this is an important differentiator. Like all other aggregators, Gatos faces the daily challenge of certifying new games, but we have incredible partners, both with the certification laboratories and among the providers, and every day there is new certified content available to customers.
Salsa already had over 15,000 games added. Today, how many are certified within this broad spectrum required by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA)?
In the first batch of certifications, we were able to go live with 2,000 games. Now, with the second batch in process, we should reach something around 3,000 games.
By the end of the first half of the year, will all 15,000 games be stamped by the SPA?
Probably not exactly the same, because some companies do not necessarily intend to certify their games for the Brazilian market. But we are seeing a movement to renew the portfolio. Some companies that were not so popular before are coming strong in Brazil, certifying a large volume of content and betting on the market. This is the most interesting thing: we want to be with those who bet on the Brazilian market. And Gator for the federal Brazil will be truly different.
