Lottopar and Cibelae organize the largest meeting on responsible gaming in Latin America

The boards of Lottopar and the Ibero-American Corporation of Lotteries and Bets of State (Cibelae) met this week to carry out a series of technical visits to Foz do Iguaçu, a city known worldwide for having one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Iguaçu Falls, the location that will host the largest responsible gaming event in Latin America in June.

The technical visit by the directors of the two entities aimed to get to know the accommodation, the event center and the transportation infrastructure available in Foz do Iguaçu.

For Lottopar's financial director, Rogério Nogueira, the event is an opportunity to promote responsible gaming, but also to develop the economy and tourism in the region.

“There will be dozens of lottery institutions and companies from all over the world visiting our Paraná. I am sure that in addition to the discussions on responsible gaming, many participants will return to Foz do Iguaçu to do tourism and get to know the region better.”

Lottopar's chief of staff, Stephanny Fernandes, stated: “Cibelae is organizing this important meeting, held for the first time in Foz do Iguaçu. We will be the showcase for the world during these three days of the event, with great discussions on responsible gaming and ESG applied in the lottery market.”

Lottopar and Cibelae are jointly developing the event and will soon present the complete themes of the event and the main speakers.

Since May 2023, Lottopar has been part of Cibelae, where it was admitted after undergoing a rigorous analysis process by the entity during 2022. Since then, it has been involved in all policies to disseminate responsible gaming policies, combat illicit activities in the lottery market and in other actions to strengthen its activities as a state agency of Paraná.

More recently, it became a member of Cibelae's Money Laundering Prevention Certification Committee.
