The new partnership will be with a betting house that will replace Parimatch, the previous sponsor. The contract signed with bet will guarantee an annual payment of R$55 million (US$ 9m), which can reach R$70 million (US$ 11.4m) upon meeting sports performance goals. With a duration of three years, the agreement promises to ensure at least R$165 million (US$ 27m) for the club's coffers, representing one of the largest revenues in the club's history.
At the beginning of 2023, Botafogo had signed a contract with Parimatch, which invested R$27.5 (US$ 4.5m) million annually during the two-year partnership. This partnership, considered the largest to date, came to an end in December 2024, paving the way for the agreement with the new sponsor.
With the arrival of the new sponsor, Botafogo reaches the position of sixth largest master sponsor in Brazilian football, behind only Flamengo, Corinthians, Palmeiras and Vasco. The Glorioso will now receive higher amounts than clubs such as São Paulo and Fluminense, reinforcing its growing relevance on the national scene.
The announcement event promises to be an important milestone for the club, which continues to reap the fruits of its brilliant season in 2024. With the significant financial contribution from the bookmaker, Botafogo hopes not only to maintain, but also to increase its competitiveness in the coming years, both in Brazil and on the international scene.
