With this new development, the companies seek to implement an action plan that can promote the message of responsible gaming and minimize extreme cases. In addition, through the agreement it will be possible to contribute to the psychoeducation of gamblers who present symptoms of addiction and other disorders.
While using a personalized service system for each situation, the service will provide an individual diagnosis and reinforce good practices, always aiming at the well-being of the betting sector audience.
The companies themselves will be responsible for the entire project execution process, while EBAC guarantees the necessary support for the development of each stage. The program has specialists who have skills and abilities in various fields of knowledge, such as psychology, organizational management, communication and compliance in the online gaming industry.
“Since it was created, the COMPULSAFE program has attracted more and more partners interested in a system that helps to endorse responsible gaming. Several companies have already joined the project, which aims to contribute positively to the regulated market, ensuring that the experience and safety of bettors and bets are of a high level”, says Cristiano Costa, Pychologist and Director of Knowledge at EBAC.
A reference in the psychoeducation and support sector for gamblers, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsive Gamblers (EBAC) was founded in 2022. Offering free support, the organization is responsible for developing a process that includes psychological assistance, screening and guidance for a psychoeducational program that can last up to eight weeks. During this period, users have access to technical information and various experiences that will help them deal with previously detected disorders.
“Joining the COMPULSAFE project is a move that needed to be made. With the regulatory guidelines requested by the federal government, we understand that participating in this project is a way of conveying to the public our commitment to responsible gaming and the well-being of gamblers,” says Talita Lacerda, CEO of Bet7k.
The COMPULSAFE program already had the support of companies such as Casa de Apostas, Betsul, Betnacional, Mr Jack bet, Onabet and Esportes da Sorte.
Operating in the market for two years, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsive Gamblers (EBAC) works to directly support gamblers, with psychological support procedures ranging from screening to referring them to participate in a psychoeducational program.
Furthermore, it is responsible for certifying companies in relation to responsible gaming, attesting that the organizational procedures are in full compliance with the legislation and that they have teams trained to detect and manage gamblers with an unfavorable profile for gambling disorder.
