“Betsul strengthened its customers communication to retain and engage them in Brazil’s new era”

With the move to the regulated market, the question is how the transition happened starting in January. Fernando Garita, CEO of Betsul, talked about this with GMB. According to him, the beginning was a little difficult due to KYC requirements, but with adequate communication with customers, this stage has already been overcome. “We will continue talking to users about responsible gaming and the correct ways to interact to retain and engage them even more.”

GMB - Brazil has finally begun its regulated market. How do you assess this moment and what were Betsul's difficulties and needs to adapt to this new scenario?
Fernando Garita -
I think we are going through a transition process, but technically, companies like Betsul are practically prepared. Customer services, KYC, responsible gaming processes and payment methods have been under development for some time. The only transition was the presentation of documentation and implementation of processes. I believe it will be a transition period of 1 to 3 months, and in March it will probably be more stable.

Given these changes, how was the interaction with the end user, the bettor?
In the first days of January, it was a little difficult. Many were on vacation, with their families, but when they returned, they started contacting us. We also prepared ourselves with a communication process to facilitate the transition. We sent messages and guidance. The first week was more challenging, but after that, many customers came back and made new registrations.

The registration process was initially complicated for some customers. In Brazil, CPF or documentation is not always in a standard format, which made facial recognition a little difficult in some cases. We are adjusting this to make the process more standardized.

How do you plan to reach more customers and retain the ones you already have, getting closer to the end user?
At Betsul, we have the advantage of being from Brazil and knowing each region very well. We offer safe options and efficient service. Our difference lies in customer service, fast response times, and immediate payments and withdrawals. We want Brazilian customers to feel at home with our services.

What are the plans for the coming months?
We are working on information campaigns about responsible gaming and promoting more communication with customers. In addition, we are developing promotions, such as welcome bonuses, something expected by Brazilian customers, but which can no longer be offered. We know that there are very large companies entering the market, but we are ready to compete and continue growing.

And how is the affiliate market working with Betsul?
The affiliate market is not new to us. We work with the largest suppliers in the world that are in Brazil, including companies like Better Collective and other big brands. Technically, we are approaching specific customer groups and this market strategically and with great effort.
