Brasileirão 2025 will only have two teams without a master sponsor from ‘Bets’

Responsible for the largest investments in sponsorships of Brazilian football clubs today, betting houses represent 95% of the master sponsors of the teams that make up the Série A of the Brasileirão 2025. Of the 38 teams present in the national sports elite, 36 have a ‘Bet’ – as operators are called in Brazil - as the main partner on their uniforms. RB Bragantino and Mirassol, however, have Betstat and 7k, respectively, as non-main sponsors.

The announcement of the agreement between Grêmio and Internacional with Alfa.bet to take over the place of Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, known as Banrisul, further increased the list of teams sponsored by betting companies.

In addition to the two teams, Palmeiras stopped being sponsored by Crefisa, a financial company owned by Palmeiras president Leila Pereira, and signed with Sporting Bet, joining the clubs that have entered the betting market on their shirts.

The exceptions

Considering the Porto Alegre duo's updated sponsorships, only RB Bragantino and Mirassol do not have ‘Bets’ as their master partner. However, both cases have important reservations. In the case of the team from the interior of São Paulo, the reason is already known.

Bought by the Red Bull group, an energy drink company, Massa Bruta does not display any brand other than the company that owns its SAF in the central space of its uniform. However, the betting house Betstat is present on the sleeves, being the only sponsor on the São Paulo team's shirt.

At Mirassol, the beverage company Poty is the main commercial partner. The ‘Leão Caipira’ displays the Guaraná Poty brand in the center of its shirt. It is worth noting, however, that there is a betting house present on the front, occupying a sort of second most important position on Mirassol's jersey. 7K, which already sponsors Vitória in Série A, displays its logo below Poty's, which also highlights the company.

Division of master sponsors of the 2025 Brasileirão teams

Among all the clubs that will compete in this year's Brasileirão, some share the same sponsorship with a betting house. This happens in four different cases. The most that a betting company can gather from clubs in Série A today is two teams.

Esportes da Sorte dominated the scene and had four clubs in the first division last year, lost agreements due to its licensing process to operate in Brazil and today only maintains Ceará and Corinthians. The São Paulo team, by the way, had a significant participation in the investment in signing Dutch midfielder Memphis Depay.

Another brand that appears twice is Superbet, sponsor of Fluminense and São Paulo since last season. In the case of Tricolor do Morumbi, the company also invested in the transfer of an athlete, midfielder Oscar, signed this year. Betfair closed with Cruzeiro and Vasco and also appears twice in the championship.

The last pair is precisely Grêmio and Internacional, which closed with Alfa.bet.

Some brands are making their debut with Série A teams this season, such as Viva Sorte.bet, which signed with Bahia after the split with Esportes da Sorte, CassinoBet with Fortaleza, SportingBet, with Palmeiras, and H2Bet, which sponsors Atlético Mineiro.
