The parties negotiated the agreement for over a year, without intermediaries. The fact that the agreement was negotiated directly with Viva Sorte pleased the Corinthians board.
“For us, this partnership is very important, it shows Corinthians' credibility back in the market, and that is very important. Even if there were an intermediary, this is part of the market,” highlighted the president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo.
“Of course, we always try to work in a very clear and transparent manner. Most of the companies that come to us always come through an agency – which is part of the market, I was also an advertiser, I know how it works. But it is very important to have this direct contact, this credibility, this rapport,” added the director.
Also according to Augusto Melo, Corinthians is in advanced negotiations to print brands in two more spaces on the uniform – which, according to the director, should make the team's jersey the most valued in Brazilian football by 2025.
According to Renato Ambrósio, CEO of Viva Sorte, Viva Timão will cost R$0.49 (US$0.08) and will distribute prizes such as cars, motorcycles, trucks and houses. Part of the money raised will be donated to the Londrina Cancer Hospital.
“Viva Timão is a project that we have dreamed of for over a year. Our contract with Corinthians is initially for two years, but we want to stay here for the rest of our lives. I think even the name ‘Viva’ has a lot to do with it.”
“This Viva Timão project was born to be called Viva Timão. I am very happy, it was designed by four hands, Augusto (Melo) participated in everything. It is a capitalization bond that is here to bring joy to Corinthians fans off the field, because on the field they are bringing joy every week,” celebrated Renato Ambrósio, promising rewards to the fans.
“The fans will have access to player training, training camp, a VIP box, autographed jerseys, a series of properties that we give to Corinthians fans. It is a bond made for Corinthians fans,” he added.
Viva Sorte is a company in the capitalization market, but in January it announced the launch of Viva Sorte Bet, its betting site. The company sponsors clubs such as São Paulo, Sport, Santos and Vasco, which have contracts with other bets. Now, it has signed another agreement, this time with Corinthians, which has Esportes da Sorte as its master sponsor.
