“RubyPlay is setting up a unit in Brazil to provide close support to its LatAm partners”

In an exclusive interview with GMB, Marcieli Pelizzaro, RubyPlay’s regional manager, revealed the company’s most immediate plans for Brazil, including the opening of a local unit. With 31 certified games in the country, Marcieli stated that all releases will be submitted for analysis before being made available to partner operators. With a roadmap full of new features, she promised to share more at the next SBC Rio and BiS SiGMA.


GMB – What were the new developments that RubyPlay presented at ICE Barcelona, just as the regulated gaming market began in Brazil?
Marcieli Pelizzaro –
The fair was a success for RubyPlay. We have many plans for 2025, many of which involve Latin America and, of course, Brazil. We are very excited about what is to come and have a lot of work ahead of us.

Will there be many game launches?
Many launches. Our roadmap is full of new developments for this year, as well as new conditions focused directly on Brazil and other regulated markets where RubyPlay operates. These are hot new developments that will be announced soon.

 



We know that RubyPlay is packing its bags for Brazil. Tell us about this new development of opening an office in Brazil and operating directly from the country.
Yes, this is great news. We will now have a team located in Brazil, which will provide greater proximity to our customers, also making time zone issues easier. It will be really cool to have a more active presence not only in the Brazilian market, but also in the entire Latin American region.

From a regulatory perspective in Brazil, have all RubyPlay games already been approved for the Brazilian market? How was that process?
We currently have 31 games certified for the Brazilian market, and all of our new games will also be certified as they are released.

Were the requirements imposed by the Brazilian government difficult?
It was a very challenging time, but we have a very good compliance team. I would like to emphasize that. We also received a lot of feedback from our customers, because our compliance team handled everything very well and in a timely manner.

 



What are the plans from a commercial perspective, since you are implementing an operation in Brazil?
We have many plans, as I said before, for 2025, many of them involving the Brazilian market and also the Peruvian market, which has just been regulated. In addition, Chile is in our sights. We are very excited about everything that is happening and what will happen in 2025.

Does RubyPlay have any plans to participate in upcoming trade shows in Brazil, such as SBC Rio and BiS SiGMA in São Paulo?
Of course, we will definitely be in São Paulo and also in Rio de Janeiro. We will also be at other regional events to get closer to the Latin American market.
