“Super Afiliados created the Malta unit to serve globally those not regulated in Brazil”

Super Afiliados, one of the leading affiliates in the iGaming segment, has just opened its Malta unit to serve global players who are not regulated in Brazil. In an exclusive interview with GMB, CEO Alessandro Valente welcomed the new moment in the country and highlighted that the company will have a local branch and another to reach Latin America and other countries. “The battle for the legalization of land-based gambling begins now,” he also said.

GMB – What is your assessment of ICE Barcelona and the current state of the global gaming industry?
Alessandro Valente
– The fair is wonderful. Clarion once again put on a show for the whole world and those who missed it should come to the next one. It’s a shame it’s not in London, because it’s a more familiar place for me, but because I think the city had a magical atmosphere. But Barcelona is great and maybe as big as the London edition. For me, it’s a positive outcome, with the global market booming and largely due to Brazil.

Speaking of Brazil, how is Super Afiliados’ business going, especially now with the regulated market, and thinking as an affiliation company?
Now affiliation is taking a new direction because the casinos we will work with will be those that are licensed. There is still room for those that are not licensed by Super Afiliados Malta. We have segmented and now we have Super Afiliados Brasil, for the Brazilian market, and Super Afiliados Malta, for the international market, including Latin America. In Brazil, we will work with those who have already obtained the license or are about to obtain it.

Will these be two complementary areas serving the end user, who seeks quality in either the Brazilian or international regulated market?
Of course, and this is very important. Our market is increasingly booming, and interest in the sector has been growing throughout Brazil. So, it is an interesting opportunity for Super Afiliados, which has been in the market for so many years, to be able to operate outside of Brazil. We will work with regulated companies in Brazil and with non-regulated companies in the international market.

What other plans do you have for Super Afiliados in the Brazilian market?
We have talked a lot about partnerships and mergers, with “crazy” negotiations that should be announced soon. All so that we can be stronger and have more relevance, not only in Brazil, but also in Latin America and perhaps other markets?

Will you tell us more details about this at BiS SiGMA 2025?
Speaking of BiS SiGMA 2025, it will take place from April 7 to 10 at Transamérica and now with more space. We will welcome more companies and have spaces for networking and activations. There are brands that want to activate and there was no space for that. In this edition, we will have two extra pavilions.

As everyone knows, Alessandro Valente is one of the co-founders of BiS SiGMA. Any other message?
I would like to thank you, Carlos Cardama and the entire GMB team. I would like to highlight something very important. I just mentioned to you and Johnny Ortiz that we have started a new battle, which is the legalization of physical gambling. We are at the Zitro stand for this interview and a company like this could enter Brazil or return to operating legally through a casino-resort or urban casino. That is the next battle. We have already resolved the online battle and now we are moving on to the next one.
