
The project will get off the ground in a partnership with OpenBet, a provider of technology, content and sports betting services, which belongs to Endeavor Group Holdings, from England.
Initially, a launch was planned for January. Now, the expectation is that TQJ will be available on the market starting in July, to take advantage of the holiday period.
"TQJ is committed to complying with all legal and operational requirements, reinforcing its commitment to integrity, the protection of bettors and strict rules of responsible gaming. The goal is to create an entertainment experience offering safe, transparent and responsible betting for Brazilian consumers," the company said in a statement.
The Silvio Santos Group is the third media group that owns a television network in Brazil to close a deal to launch a 'Bet', as the operators are called in Brazil.
In August 2024, Grupo Globo closed a partnership with MGM to launch a sports betting and online gaming house in the country. BetMGM was launched this month.
Band also recently launched Bandbet, to take advantage of its strength in sports coverage to profit from bets.
