DigiPlus appoints industry veteran to lead Brazil iGaming expansion

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is strengthening its push into Brazil’s fast-growing iGaming market with the appointment of Graham Tidey as country manager of its local operations, effective March 1, 2025. A former consul in Brazil for the UK Foreign Service, Tidey is an industry specialist with nearly two decades of experience in international trade, investment, and the country’s gaming sector.

Graham Tidey will oversee the company’s expansion under its wholly owned subsidiary, DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda. His expertise in navigating the country’s regulatory landscape and scaling both B2B and B2C gaming operations positions him to drive growth in one of the world’s most promising iGaming markets.

DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco said the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to establishing a responsible and innovative presence in Brazil.

Brazil represents one of the most significant opportunities in global iGaming, and we are investing in the right people to ensure our success,” Tanco commented. “Graham Tidey’s expertise in Latin America, proven leadership in regulatory navigation, and track record in driving strategic growth, make him the ideal choice to lead our expansion.”

Tidey previously worked at MarketLaunch, a consultancy firm specializing in iGaming market entry and expansion, where he advised global gaming firms such as DraftKings and Bally’s. He also served as lead consultant for the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) in Brazil, advocating for regulatory policies at the government level.

Earlier in his career, Tidey was the British consul in Brazil for the UK Foreign Service, supporting multinational firms in establishing operations in the country.

Having lived in Brazil for nearly 15 years and obtained Brazilian nationality, Tidey brings deep local market knowledge to his new role. His priorities will include regulatory compliance, forging strategic partnerships, and strengthening DigiPlus’ local expertise.

DigiPlus is committed to responsible expansion, and I am looking forward to creating shareholder value by fostering innovation, expanding market reach, and building a strong and sustainable business in this region,” Tidey said.

DigiPlus has obtained a gaming licence from Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, allowing it to operate online sports betting, electronic games, live game studios, and fixed-odds betting. The company has allocated €10.9 million for initial operational costs, including licensing fees, capitalisation, and financial reserves.

The company said Tidey’s priorities as country manager include navigating the country’s evolving regulatory environment, developing local partnerships, and building a strong operational foundation for DigiPlus Brazil.
