GMB – What innovations did Optimove bring to this edition of SBC Summit Rio?
Felipe Costa Nadalini - The two main innovations we brought were "Optimove Ignite Plus" and "OptiLive". Optimove Ignite Plus is a program that includes several functionalities, focusing especially on beginner operators. It helps to improve the player base and facilitates entry into the world of CRM.
OptiLive is an exclusive Optimove feature that sends real-time notifications to players during live events, such as a goal by Neymar, for example. If the player has a relationship with that player and a betting pattern, the tool sends notifications encouraging new bets in real time.
And what adaptations is Optimove making to adapt to the Brazilian regulated market?
The Brazilian regulated market is one of the biggest opportunities that Optimove sees, not only for this year, but also for next year.
We are expanding our team in Brazil significantly, having already increased the size of our team by more than 200%. We are also finalizing the process of opening a CNPJ and adapting our platform to market regulations. Keeping up with these new rules is essential to adjust our strategy.
How do you see the beginning of this year for the regulated market here in Brazil?
It is something new, just like the regulation of crypto in Brazil in 2022. The changes are complex, but they are for the good of the market and to protect the player.
Although adaptation brings difficulties, Brazilians are incredibly flexible, and everyone is learning to deal with it. Ultimately, it is about ensuring player safety and doing what is necessary within the new rules.
Which Optimove products would you highlight to differentiate yourself from the competition?
First, I would highlight our platform that connects to operators' data in a very deep way, allowing us to understand player behavior and perform predictive analyses on their behavior.
Second, our expertise in iGaming is something that sets us apart. Brazil is currently adapting to new rules, which creates challenges, but also new opportunities. It’s like the investment market, which used to be simple but has now become more sophisticated.
Brazilian players are undergoing a process of financial education, and as they learn, new opportunities arise for bookmakers that work ethically and responsibly, with a good understanding of player data.
How does Optimove deal with sensitive issues such as responsible gaming, user protection and advertising?
Player protection and responsibility are essential issues. We have been in the market for over 10 years and understand the needs of working with major global players.
Optimove constantly adapts to regulatory trends, working together with operators to ensure that actions are taken responsibly. Our focus is on providing data, expertise and support, but we also need operators to bring responsibility so that the market is sustainable.
How do you see the future of the iGaming and sports betting market in Brazil?
The iGaming market in Brazil is growing impressively and becoming one of the largest verticals in the sector. Although it is still undergoing transformations and adaptations, it is a market with enormous growth potential. Over time, it will consolidate and become one of the main revenue drivers in Brazil.
