“With certified products, SOFTSWISS helped partners migrate to the regulated market in Brazil”

SOFTSWISS attended SBC Rio with its full line of iGaming solutions for the regulated Brazilian market. Fully certified in Brazil, the company welcomed its status under the country’s regulations and, in the words of Darío Leiman, head of business development, “this helped operators migrate to the new reality without major problems. Everything is much simpler and easier.”


GMB – What is your assessment of the first major SBC fair in Rio de Janeiro?
Darío Leiman
– We are very happy with this first major SBC event. We had numerous meetings with partners, and as you yourself said, it is a new beginning in terms of regulations in Brazil. We are very satisfied and in compliance.

All SOFTSWISS products are already approved and certified for Brazil. What will the process of expanding customer acquisition in the country be like?
We are establishing many partnerships and we have a team that speaks Portuguese, which is native to Brazil, and this helps a lot in our day-to-day operations, especially when it comes to solving problems or developing potential business opportunities that may arise.

 



What types of problems were there and how did you solve them to ensure that SOFTSWISS partners were completely satisfied?
As everyone knows, December 31st was an important day for everyone, and we managed, with the entire team, not only here in Brazil but also in Europe, to overcome barriers and stabilize everything. But, as mentioned, having the aggregator, the platform and other products like the jackpot certified, everything is much simpler and easier.

What about the Affilka affiliate platform?
For now, the affiliate platform does not require certification, but all of our other products are already certified for Brazil. Although certification is not required for the affiliate platform, we are working on it so that it works with the regulated market.

 



There is no need for certification of the affiliate platform, but how are you working with partners so that affiliates understand the new concept of the Brazilian gaming market?
SOFTSWISS does not have affiliates, it only offers the platform to operators. B2C partnerships are not part of SOFTSWISS's focus.

But are you guiding the affiliate market on how to use the Affilka Platform?
Yes. SOFTSWISS has many gamification tools, including for the affiliate platform.

What are SOFTSWISS's plans now with the regulated market and that you are already experiencing this new moment in Brazil?
We are very satisfied and happy. Not only for Brazil, but for all of Latin America. We are growing as a company, with an increasingly important market share for the region.

 



How is business going in Latin America, especially those that have just become regulated?
Especially in Peru, all of our products are certified in the country, where we have many customers and partners, with whom we have made important agreements.

Are you working closely with Rubens Barrichello, non-executive director of SOFTSWISS?
Yes, we had a recent dinner in Rio de Janeiro in view of our participation in the SBC Summit Rio and he accompanied us to this meeting, where he exchanged experiences with our team. He is truly a great person, both professionally and in terms of his charisma.
