GMB - What were the main innovations that Bragg brought to this edition of SBC?
Matej Nemec - As always, we are very focused on four verticals. We work with our PAM platform, which is well developed and prepared for regulated markets, such as Brazil. We also work with aggregation and are increasingly strong in this product in Brazil, already serving around 30% of the market and we believe we can reach 50%.
In addition, we have our own games, developed internally by studios such as Atomic Slot Lab and Indigo Magic, as well as exclusive partnerships with third parties, such as Gamomat and other suppliers in the United States.
Finally, we are bringing a very interesting product called FUZE, a platform for marketing tools that helps retain players and make the experience more fun. With it, operators can offer free spins, tournaments, missions and other engagement strategies.
How did Bragg adapt to the new rules in Brazil as a regulated market?
It was not easy, but we worked very hard last year to be ready from day one of the regulations. Our compliance team did an excellent job, and we are already serving most of the Brazilian market.
As a public company, Bragg always focuses on regulated markets and we are prepared to operate in any new market that comes to be regulated. We currently operate in around 30 global markets, including the most important in the world, and Brazil, of course, is part of this scenario.
Now that Bragg is looking to expand its operations in Brazil, what are its competitive advantages in the market?
We have two major advantages. First, our content aggregation, which has helped many operators to be ready from day one of the regulations. There are between 30 and 40 casino suppliers in the market, and integrating all of them, with all the necessary documentation, is a huge challenge. We make this process easier for operators.
In addition, our PAM platform is already being used by almost 60 operators, and many are migrating to more advanced solutions. The Brazilian market has very strong international competition, and we believe that by providing cutting-edge technology and solutions that truly meet the needs of operators, we will be able to expand our partnerships.
How does Bragg deal with sensitive topics such as user protection, advertising and responsible gaming?
That's a great question. As a public company, we have always been strongly committed to protecting players. We offer automated tools that allow operators to efficiently enforce responsible gaming policies without the need for full-time manual monitoring.
Our responsible gaming system is already integrated into our core platform and does not rely on aggregation. We believe we are one of the companies that offer the most advanced features in this area.
What are the biggest challenges and opportunities you see in the Brazilian market?
The market is currently structuring itself. Before the regulation, any company could operate here. Now, we have a new reality with many rules, and the operators and suppliers that can adapt more quickly will have a competitive advantage.
We are still only in the second month of regulated operations in Brazil, and some points still need to be clarified, such as payments, taxes and withholding tax. However, Bragg is working hard to ensure that everything is aligned and within regulatory requirements.
How do you see the future of iGaming and sports betting in Brazil?
The entire industry has waited a long time for this moment, and we are happy that it has finally arrived. We hope that by 2025 there will be no drastic changes in regulation and that taxes will remain at a sustainable level for operators.
In highly regulated markets in Europe, there are sometimes excessive restrictions that push players into the illegal market. It is essential that Brazilian players remain on licensed platforms, where taxes are paid and user protection measures are in place.
How was your experience at SBC Summit Rio?
Yes, the event was great! The venue is very beautiful and spacious, and I see great potential for this fair to grow even more in the coming years. The event format was well organized, with no long lines, and I believe that the participants really enjoyed it.
