“Pragmatic Play officially launched its innovative sportsbook for Latin America at SBC Rio”

In a journey that promises a lot of innovation in Brazil, Pragmatic Play was at the recent SBC Rio, where it officially presented its sportsbook for the first time in Latin America. Victor Arias, VP LatAm at ARRISE, powering Pragmatic Play, received GMB for an exclusive interview, where he spoke about insights for the region, the company's vocation for cutting-edge technology and the promise to certify more and more games for the Brazilian market.


Pragmatic Play, a leading content provider for the iGaming industry, with a presence in the main regulated markets around the world, presented itself in style at the SBC Summit Rio, which took place in the last week of February.

At the event, the company brought to its stand all the verticals that make up its extensive portfolio of products for the iGaming industry, consisting of award-winning games, live casino solutions, bingo and virtual sports.

In addition, the event's big new product was officially presented for the first time in Latin America: its sportsbook, which Victor Arias, VP LatAm at ARRISE, powering Pragmatic Play, says has been a hit with its business partners in the region.

With satisfaction, Victor stated that the company is very pleased with the launch and has high expectations for the product in the Brazilian and Latin American markets.

Speaking specifically about Brazil, Victor Arias highlighted that the company already has a robust portfolio of games that have already been certified in the country and that it is still in the process of adapting to local rules to bring more titles to the newly regulated Brazilian market.

He promised to present more news regarding this increase in certified solutions at BiS SiGMA Americas, which will take place in April in São Paulo.

 



GMB – What was new from Pragmatic Play at SBC Rio?
Victor Arias
– We presented something new. We showed our sports betting platform for the first time in Latin America, officially launching it at SBC Rio. We are very happy and, in addition, have high expectations. Our business partners really liked the product. As always, we came with innovation, excellent user experience and the best technology.

Innovation is in Pragmatic Play's DNA. Is bringing a sportsbook nothing more than continuing this innovation?
Since we started in Latin America, part of our focus has always been to innovate and bring innovation to LatAm. It has been a project that we have been developing for a few years. We believe and are certain that Latin America continues to mature and demand it. For this reason, we decided to bring our sports betting platform. There is an important segment of the market that requires our innovation. Latin American players love sports betting and we have to have this in our portfolio for the region.

What was it like for Pragmatic Play to be at the first event in Brazil with the regulated market?
This is our first event in Latin America. Basically, we started the year in Rio de Janeiro, a market that, as you said, has recently been regulated. Our expectations were met. As always, we had a significant turnout of visitors and business partners, both existing and new ones who want to do business with us.

 



How is the certification process for Pragmatic Play games for Brazil going?
We already have a significant portfolio of certified games. And our plan is to continue this process and bring an ever-growing portfolio to Brazil.

Does Pragmatic Play intend to present this portfolio and other products at BiS SiGMA in April?
Of course. We will be at the event and invite everyone to visit us. We will have a masterful presence and will continue to bring innovation to Brazil. We invite everyone to get to know “your favorite at all times”.
