The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting to participate in 25th GLI Regulators Roundtable in Las Vegas

The Undersecretary for Monitoring and Inspection of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance, Fabio Augusto Macorin, will travel next month to Las Vegas to participate on behalf of the Brazilian regulator in the GLI Regulators Roundtable (April 16-17). Open only to gaming regulators, operators, and lotteries, the event will discuss new trends to watch out for and discuss where they see the gaming industry going in the future.

The authorization for Macorin's trip next April 16-17 was published this Tuesday (18) in the Official Gazette of the Union. The GLI Regulators Roundtable will take place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, United States.

Fabio Macorin has been a Federal Police officer for 16 years and holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and is a Specialist in Criminal Sciences. He is also a Professor at the National Police Academy in the disciplines of Cybercrime, Open Source Tools and Investigation of Electronic Banking Fraud.

The Undersecretariat of Monitoring and Inspection is responsible for supervising and developing inspection actions related to promotions, the operation of fixed-odds bets and other lottery modalities, sweepstakes and monitoring compliance with regulations related to corruption, money laundering and other crimes, within the scope of sports betting, other lottery modalities, commercial promotions and early collection of popular savings.
