“Altenar’s new Bet Builder Boost improves user experience and increases operator LTV”

Frederico Caputi, sales and business development manager at Altenar, spoke exclusively with GMB during SBC Rio about the launch of the Bet Builder Boost, as well as improvements in risk management on the company’s sports betting platform. According to Caputi, Altenar is adapted to the Brazilian market, focusing on compliance and customized solutions and will have more news at BiS SiGMA.

GMB – What were Altenar’s new offerings at SBC Rio?
Frederico Caputi – For SBC Rio 2025, we introduced some significant advancements. As a sportsbook provider, we presented the "Bet Builder Boost," an enhancement of our "Bet Builder" feature. This innovation improves the experience for both operators and users, increasing engagement and boosting player Lifetime Value (LTV).

We have been working extensively on our reporting tools to ensure that operators have a clear, real-time view of their risk exposure, along with more advanced mechanisms for detecting high-risk bets.

On the human management side, we have a dedicated support team and account managers who take care of our clients— the operators— 24/7. This human touch truly adds value to our service offering.

Risk management is crucial for operators' survival. They need increasingly detailed information. Is that what Altenar's sportsbook provides?
Exactly. In addition to automated tools, we can detect user patterns, track their origin, and leverage our partnership with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) to identify fraudulent betting patterns in advance.

Is this a major advantage of your product, or is it something all sportsbook providers offer?
Not all providers have this capability. However, the key advantage of our development in Brazil is that, since we established a local company, we can offer bets in local currency and handle all compliance aspects, ensuring full adaptation to Brazilian regulations. This also creates tax benefits for operators.

We are now completing the second month of regulated sports betting in Brazil. How would you assess this initial phase of the new market?
This is a crucial moment. These first steps in regulation will define the future of the industry. Of course, we face some challenges today, particularly regarding Brazil’s tax burden, but I believe that through dialogue between regulators, operators, and providers, we will see better outcomes in the second half of the year. Brazil has enormous potential and will likely become the number one regulated market in Latin America.

How has Altenar prepared to serve this market, which could become Latin America’s top market and the world’s third-largest sports betting industry?
We are adding localized offerings that appeal to bettors and improving our Portuguese-language support. We are also adapting our product to the local culture, addressing the specific needs of Brazilian operators and bettors.

What are Altenar’s next steps and plans in the immediate future?
Our plan is to continuously improve our service for clients by adding the features outlined in our roadmap through the second half of this year.

Will you be participating in BiS SiGMA 2025 with new offerings?
Absolutely! We will be there with new features. We always have something new, as we have over 200 people working on our product. We launch around three new features every two months.
