
GMB – Could you introduce yourself and explain a bit about your role at 1spin4win and what attracted you to the company?
Jaime Carvajal – My role consists of driving business growth by increasing the number of partners we work with and exploring new markets — seeking new players through new partnerships.
As for what attracted me, I’d say it was luck! 1spin4win is a fast-growing game development studio, which I must admit I wasn’t very familiar with at first, especially in the Latin American market, where I specialize. But it didn’t take long for me to notice its strong performance in our key markets and the potential our brand has in new territories.
What is your career trajectory, and how did it lead you to the sales roles you have now?
For over 15 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working in business development across various industries, including Medicine, Technology, Investments, and now iGaming.
In these roles, I had the opportunity to start, develop, and lead different projects in various markets, which gave me a broader understanding of managing business expansion teams and overcoming legal barriers.
With 1spin4win being a rapidly growing company, it was the perfect opportunity for me to be part of a very creative, smart, dynamic, and ambitious team.
Can you highlight any key sales goals for the next semester in Latin America?
Our goal is to triple 1spin4win’s presence over the next six months in key markets such as Ecuador, Mexico, and Paraguay. We also hope to finalize our certification processes with Brazilian and Peruvian regulators—two countries with huge markets and very promising futures.
What are your personal goals in the company, and what do you want to achieve for the company in the next quarter?
My personal goals are fully aligned with the company’s plans: increasing the total number of bets by expanding our market acquisition and attracting players. This means closing new partnerships and actively working with our existing partners to maximize results.
What are your goals and expectations for the BiS SiGMA Americas conference?
BiS SiGMA Americas represents a key opportunity to amplify the impact of the work we do remotely. It allows us to reconnect with valuable friends and partners while also fostering new high-value collaborations that drive our industry forward.
This event is a milestone in our calendar, a gathering we prioritize for its ability to inspire innovation, strengthen relationships, and open doors to new and exciting opportunities. We look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and shaping the future of our industry together.
What would you say are the keys to success in iGaming in Latin America, given the recent challenges the industry is facing, such as market saturation, economic impact, and financial regulations?
It’s true that Latin American markets have been making a lot of noise lately due to regulations and the industry's growing interest in the region. However, regulation is mainly happening in four countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, leaving plenty of room for those that have yet to start the certification process.
Whether the market is saturated or not is hard to say—after all, we are still in a transition period. Once the dust settles, we will be able to see the real size and layers of the gaming industry in each Latin American country. Only then will we truly understand whether there is oversaturation or not.
For now, we need to focus on our work: continuing to innovate and create content that resonates with our local players so we can keep growing!
What is your favorite game from the 1spin4win selection?
That’s an easy one! Don Catleone Hold And Win, for sure! There’s something about those cats that caught my attention from the start! Plus, the “hold and win” feature keeps me fully engaged in the game.
