
The successor to the Greek Betano in the ‘Alvinegro’ jersey, the company signed a three-year contract with the Minas Gerais team, for a fixed amount of R$180m / US$31.4m (R$60m / US$10.45m per year), plus bonuses for targets achieved, established at the time of signing the contract.
Currently, the group led by CEO Ueltom Lima Gomes has poker rooms in São Paulo, Campinas and Curitiba; truco houses, cacheta houses, chess houses, gastronomic establishments and an online poker site.
“Our conversations (Atlético and H2bet) didn’t last long. Galo had been having other conversations, we found out about it when we met for the first time. This merger is almost natural. We usually say that what brought us here, what made us want to be with Galo, you can’t say it’s for another reason… it’s the fans,” highlighted Ueltom Lima, CEO of H2Bet, in January.
“That made us want to be here. What really made us close the deal was the proximity to the vision of the future that we saw in the board of directors. The fact that it was a SAF, the fact that the conversations made sense, the board’s compliance relationship,” he added.
