The SPA states in the official document that “strengthening cooperation between federal entities is necessary, based on coordination between the Federal Government and State Governments, promoting best practices, national minimum standards for Responsible Gaming, technical requirements for systems and games, as well as measures to combat money laundering and ensure sports integrity.”
According to the Secretariat, the presence of a representative from each state in the country and the Federal District “is essential for a democratic and effective construction of a National Betting System, aiming to strengthen federal ties and improve the application of relevant legislation to fixed-odds betting in Brazil.”
In the document, the SPA informs that the meeting will take place from 10 AM to 5 PM on April 4 at the Ministry of Finance. States and the Federal District must confirm their interest in participating, designate a representative for the meeting, and submit up to three relevant topics for discussion regarding the National Betting System for the first meeting.
The document is electronically signed by Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting at the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF).
