GMB - What are the main innovations your company is presenting at SBC RIO 2025?
Elder Caturani - At SBC Rio 2025, our iGaming development powerhouse presented the latest AI-driven gaming solutions, designed for both real-money and social casino markets. With a portfolio of 55+ games, including Candy’s Bonanza and Wild West Spirit, we also continue expanding into the U.S. social casino sector, a key growth market.

Our focus remains on high-performance game design, seamless integration, and AI-powered personalization to maximize player engagement. How has Meridianbet adapted to the new regulations and certification processes in the Brazilian market? What is your assessment of the start of the regulated operation in the country?
Meridianbet has always been ahead of regulatory / compliance standards, as we have over 25 years of experience operating in 18 regulated markets worldwide. Compliance is much more than an obligation for us—it’s a strategic advantage. We don’t just meet legal standards; we actively advocate for higher regulatory benchmarks, ensuring long-term market sustainability wherever we operate.

In Brazil, we seamlessly adapted to the new certification processes, leveraging our global expertise to ensure full compliance from day one. The transition was efficient and structured, with clear communication to our users about regulatory updates. Any initial adjustments were quickly integrated, and by February, we observed an increase in active users, reaffirming that our commitment to a transparent, well-regulated gaming environment enhances trust and engagement.

In such a competitive region, what unique products or services does your company offer to win over the Brazilian betting and iGaming market?
Meridianbet, in addition to being one of the world's largest technology providers, also leverages Artificial Intelligence to its advantage. We use AI to boost player engagement and retention. Our AI Casino Recommender uses advanced AI to offer personalized game recommendations based on player behavior, previous activities, demographic data, and individual preferences.

The AI engine analyzes extensive data to identify unique player patterns and preferences, providing recommendations in two sections:

* Games you’ve tried: Highlights games that players have already played.

* Games you might like: Introduces new games based on player behavior and preferences.

Our AI model is trained daily to stay current with player behaviors and preferences, ensuring accurate and engaging suggestions.

When it comes to opportunities, it is definitely securing a federal license, as by doing so, we reinforced Meridianbet’s commitment to the market, long-term stability and credibility.

A key challenge is the presence of illegal operators, which disrupts market regulation and misleads consumers. Reports of unregulated sites failing to pay winnings create distrust and impact the entire industry. We have daily inflow of such negative news, and that’s something that needs to be changed.

The future of iGaming in Brazil depends on a strong, but also business-friendly regulatory framework that enables licensed operators to scale responsibly. With clearer regulations, advancing technology, and Brazil’s deep sports culture, the market is set for rapid expansion. We are super excited about the opportunities ahead.
