Due to its privileged geography, distances and the fact that it has an international border of almost 1,000 kilometers, Amapá will be able to receive gamblers in these facilities that will be built, coming from all over the world, as is currently the case in Punta del Leste, Uruguay, Bariloche, Argentina and throughout the Caribbean.
Amapá is a state in northern Brazil bordered by Suriname, French Guiana and the Atlantic Ocean.
The implementation of these high-end entertainment and leisure spaces is expected to generate annual revenues of R$300 billion (US$51bn) throughout Brazil.
To discuss this important issue, a group of hotel businesspeople and tourism and casino management professionals arrived in Macapá in the first week of February, coordinated by Bruno Omori and José Luíz De Paula Jr.
Bruno Omori, a business administrator with an international MBA from OHIO University and president of the Institute of Development, Tourism, Culture, Sports and Environment (IDT-Cema), is leading the effort to implement tourist complexes in Brazil, in partnership with the world's leading gaming and casino groups, with an initial investment of around US$70 billion.
This movement will begin in 2025, after the expected final approval of law 2.234/22, which could happen in the first half of this year, according to the most optimistic projections.
Omori also chairs the organizing committee of the MMA World Championship in Brazil, of the GAMMA Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts, in June at the WET’N WILD park with more than 100 countries and 1,200 athletes. He completes this activity by having an institutional presence at the Federation of Hotels, Restaurants and Bars of the State of São Paulo (FHORESP), as director of games and hospitality.
The trade union brings together 24 employers’ unions with more than 500,000 CNPJs (National Registry of Legal Entities ) of hotels, bars and restaurants. Bruno Omori, in contact with local authorities, began negotiations to announce this remarkable discovery.
The invitation for Bruno and José Luiz to visit Amapá came from consultant and journalist Dantas Filho, who spends a good part of the year in Amapá working on ongoing sustainable projects.
