International Women's Day

Ponte Preta and GingaBet join forces with CUFA Campinas to promote women's health

International Women's Day is this Saturday (8), and with this in mind, GingaBet, Ponte Preta's official sponsor, has planned a special action. Together with Central Única das Favelas (CUFA) and Macaca's organized fan club, more than 1,000 packages of sanitary pads will be delivered to Jardim Monte Cristo, one of the communities in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo.

In favor of women's health and well-being, the delivery of the kits, which total more than eight thousand units of sanitary pads, will be delivered by Macaquinha, the official mascot of the Campinas team.

“At GingaBet, we recognize the transformative power of sports. Together with Ponte Preta, we seek to go beyond the games and make a real impact on the lives of people who face daily challenges. The distribution of personal hygiene items is more than a simple gesture: it is a commitment to care, dignity and respect, promoting self-esteem and well-being and providing women with more confidence and quality of life,” explains Camila Alvarenga, digital marketing manager at Ginga.

The project aims to provide not only dignity to women in the community, but also to reinforce the sponsor's commitment to the goals of sustainable development, health, well-being and gender equality.

Camila also talks about other actions that will be carried out during the month of March. “In addition to distributing personal hygiene kits, GingaBet has prepared special content in honor of women on our social networks. This content seeks to bring fans closer to our community, showing that sports are also a space for them.”

“Women's Month is a time to celebrate women's achievements, but also to reflect on the challenges we still face. GingaBet reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and to building a fairer and more inclusive society,” she concluded.

According to Michele Eugênio, president of CUFA Campinas, more than 220 women are expected to pick up the kits.

For Lucimara Ferreira, director of social inclusion at Ponte Preta, this action represents the strengthening of Ponte Preta's inclusive role. “Historically, we have an inclusive role in our veins, and on this March 8, we once again have the opportunity to strengthen our history and commitment as an institution that is not exempt from its social responsibilities,” stated Lucimara.

For Letícia Brandão, one of the supporters and member of the Women's Command of Torcida Jovem Ponte, the action goes far beyond social issues: “Actions like this emphasize self-care and women's empowerment. In addition to the affection and solidarity that comes from the heart of each employee,” she concluded.

The action will begin at 9 am at the Oziel Alves Pereira School, on Rua Fauze Selhe, S/N, Jardim Monte Cristo, Campinas.
