The team's training session began normally, until an unexpected announcement was made by the coach and sports physiotherapist.
"I've brought you all together here today to tell you that this is my last training session with you. I'm leaving. A new challenge in life. I'm going to take a new path and I hope you'll be happy," said Malerba, before Rivaldo entered the training field.
"I thought it would be hard to find someone better than Jú, but..." joked one of the players when he saw the five-time world champion introduce himself.
The video of the action shows the excitement of the amateur athletes at being able to train with a historic figure in Brazilian football, who replaced their coach in the middle of training.
"We weren't expecting it. We were kicking the ball around, playing, and out of nowhere a world champion arrives like this is a really cool surprise," said Léo, a player for Romp FC.

After the game, the former player took photos with the Romp FC team before “returning” the coaching position to Júlio Malerba.
Romp FC started out as a futsal team and was named after the Vila Romana and Pompéia neighborhoods. It currently has futsal, field and “veteran” teams.
