LOTERJ discusses ESG in the gaming sector with the Canadian Mint

LOTERJ vice president Fabíola Esteves met with representatives from the Canadian Bank Note Company to discuss ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices in the gaming sector. During the meeting, Daniel Lee, product director, and Chris Biochhi, controller of the Canadian company, showed great interest in the Rio de Janeiro market.

They were impressed with LOTERJ's transparency and control mechanisms. "These rules and actions are aligned with the best practices in the world," said Daniel Lee.

The Canadian Bank Note Company is a private entity that operates gaming in 10 countries in the Caribbean and Central America, in addition to offering technological support services for VLT machines.

The meeting took place at the Montgomery law firm in São Paulo, where an Afternoon Tea was held to discuss with clients and regulators the impact of ESG on the gaming and betting industry.

Ana Paula Pinho Candeloro (partner at Montgomery & Associados) and Juan Camilo Carrasco (partner at Asensi Abogados) shared their insights on how ESG can increase brand visibility and add value for both operators and suppliers.

The session was closed by Fabíola Esteves, vice president of Loterj, who presented to the group the various ESG initiatives developed in Rio de Janeiro.
