Although 2016 has
been "tumultuous", Federal deputy Magda Mofatto believes that this
new year will be more relaxed, even for discussion of propositions of the
deputies. She mainly highlights Bill 442/1991, the so-called Regulatory
Framework of Gaming in Brazil, which, she points out, should be approved in
2017.
Besides this, Mofatto said that the priority will be to give governability to President
Michel Temer (PMDB): "We can not insist on changing president because we
have to give stability to the government so that the country grows again."
On the other hand, asked about her political future in the upcoming elections
in 2018, Mofatto did not want to confirm whether she would actually be a
candidate for the Senate. She said that the possibility exists, but that the final
decision will still be discussed: "I am a politician, any candidacy that
will happen will be in agreement with my political group and people who support
me".
