Mexico to host its “1st National Gaming Industry Convention” this week

The event, that kicks-off tomorrow (October 17-18) and will be held at Citibanamex in Mexico DF, will gather importante personalities not only from the local sector, but the international one. According to its organizers, the goal of the event is “ that the sector has a specialized national event for all the actors of the gaming industry”

The organizers of the 1st National Gaming Industry Convention 2017 in Mexico invite to participate at the meeting will be held this week (October 17-18) looking to generate a space "in which can be discussed issues of interest to maintain a high level of dialogue and communication among the various actors in the industry, media and authorities regarding the various issues of greatest interest."

Currently, in Mexico there are 320 gaming venues open; 691 authorized; 33 permit holders; and 90 thousand installed gaming machines.

The general objective of the congress, "at this specific scenario in our industry, is to provide the Mexican government with basic and consensual inputs so that a true State Policy on gambling can be designed, highlighting the full legality of the entertainment industry; contribution to the economic dynamics of the country, its total transparency, and its concern to provide security to our customers and our investors," organizers said. The central topics to be discussed are online gaming, live gaming (land-based), fiscal and banking issues, security, manufacturers: cutting edge teams, social funding.

The organizers expect the presence of international speakers such as Michael Ellen (Director of Licenses and Strategy of the Alderney Gaming Control Commission, UK); Manuel San Román (General Manager of Casino Games and Slot in Peru); Minister Luis Felipe Cangas (General Director of Games and Draws in México); rectors of the universities of Guerrero, Sinaloa, and Puebla; Sebastian Salat (Zitro); Marcus Prater (Executive Director of AGEM); Helio Bueno (EIBE); Juan Rivero (IGT); Ramizo Salazar (Scientific Games); Adolfo de los Ríos ( Metronia); Alfonso Pérez Lizaur ( APJSAC President); and Miguel Angel Ochoa (AIEJA), among others.
