New edition affected by Sunday’s shooting

G2E begins today in a still shocked Las Vegas

With the city still stunned by the terrible shooting that left at least 58 people died and 515 others injured, the traditional Las Vegas trade show opens its doors today to a new edition. While the event becomes once again the hub of international gaming innovation and technology, AGA Presidente and CEO, Geoff Freeman, commented: “G2E is scheduled to open as planned. The AGA and Reed Exhibitions will closely monitor the situation and safety remains our priority.”

Once again, the main attention of the international gaming market will be focused in Las Vegas, as the city becomes the hub of innovation and technology with the industry key players gathering at the at the Sands Expo and Convention Center for the Global Gaming Expo 2017. Gaming companies, operators and manufacturers are joining the seventeenth annual edition of G2E to show the future of gaming to the US and Latin American markets.

In its 2017 edition the show is welcoming a total of 433 companies, which represents an slight increase compared to the 425 firms from last year. Expo centre’s exhibition floor will also house a total of 96 companies that are debuting at G2E in Las Vegas. This year AGA expects to attract more than the 27,000 gaming professionals.

The line of solutions being showcased at G2E covers a wide range of categories, from Architecture & Design, Casino Marketing, Consulting & Business Services, to Entertainment Concepts & Services, iGaming, Slot Machines and Table Games.

As usual, local players are featuring some of the largest stands at the show. While Scientific Games receives visitors unveiling its highly-anticipated James Bond experience with the releases of several James Bond-branded games, giant IGT promises to reveal a new version of its S3000 cabinet, as well as the addition of a new title to its 4D games portfolio, Ghostbusters. Konami is presenting a strong lineup of solutions, led by an expanded Concerto Collection of video slots. 

More key US companies such as AGS, JCM Global, Gaming Arts, Ortiz Gaming are also exhibiting their products at the show. 

AGS will showcase a new addition toits Orion family of slot cabinets and new unique game content, including a number of new progressive solutions like Xtreme Jackpots, and their full line-up of table game products, including Dex-S. For their international customers, AGS introduces the new Alora cabinet and an initial library of video-bingo games. Alora was designed in Brazil by Brazilians, and with so much potential in major video-bingo markets like Mexico, the Philippines, and Brazil (once legalized).

Led by NOVOMATIC, the European team of companies is truly bringing excitement to the exhibition floor. Sharing stand with Ainsworth for the first time at G2E, NOVOMATIC lauches its new licensed slot ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. As part of NOVOMATIC booth will be the company’s interactive subsidiary Greentube, presenting a unique selection of of online, mobile and social gaming solutions for international markets.

Other key European companies present at the show are Interblock, APEX, Amatic, SuzoHapp, Merkur, Advantech-Innocore, EGT, Win Systems and Zitro, among many others. Expanding its vast portfolio of licensed slot games is Aristocrat, who has announced the premiere of Madonna and WestWorld Slot Games at G2E.

iGaming innovation will be also on display represented by prestigious companies like Greentube, NYX Gaming Group, and BetConstruct.

Other gaming segments present at G2E -both in seminars and at the exhibiting floor- are eSports and skill based gaming, two areas casinos are looking at to drive the next generation of players. GameCo is debuting skill-based Video Gambling Machines VGM titles while. 

The show is open today and tomorrow from 10.00 AM to 5 PM, while on Thursday it closes it doors at 3 PM.
