"The leading international brands will be present at SAGSE"

A few days before the beginning of SAGSE, Giorgio Gennati Litta - president of Monografie, organizer of the event – talks with GMB about how they are preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this traditional exhibition in Latin America. 'We will bring together all the Argentine manufacturers and Latin producers of machines and technology,' says Gennari Litta, who adds that, with the brand already registered in Brazil, 'our project is to be present in all the new markets of the continent where gaming is official and regulated.'

GMB - How do you prepare for the next SAGSE edition, where you will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show? Have you organized a special celebration?
Giorgio Gennari Litta - Undoubtedly it is an important stage, as SAGSE is one of the oldest Expos in the Gaming sector, together with the London and Las Vegas events, and the first in Latin America. This year will be celebrated with a cocktail "LA GREAT GALA GAMING" on Wednesday (November 8th), reserved for exhibitors and the most important operators.

How do you analyze the progress of SAGSE in these 25 years of experience and what are your objectives now?
The first SAGSE began in a small room at the Sheraton Hotel and, sinse then, constantly growing with the development of the sector, accompanying year after year the needs of the companies in the industry, once becoming the second expo in the world by size and number of exhibitors. In addition SAGSE has collaborated with the Argentine and Latin American industry in positioning itself among the major international manufacturers. Today is still the first expo of the sector in Latin America and it is our project to be present in all the new markets of the continent where gaming is official and regulated.

Why did you decide to organize the conference of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) that will be held during the event? What are its main features and topics to be analyzed?
As is well known, online gaming and sports betting are part of the new major market developments and Malta is the technological heart of the sector, where the Malta Gaming Autority is the most important entity in the market with extensive experience in regulation, working from several years in different European countries. Therefore, we have invited MGA to have a meeting with Latin American regulators in order to collaborate with their experience in countries where there is no regulation.

How many exhibiting companies are confirmed? Which sectors of the industry will be represented and what countries or markets? How many visitors do you expect?
In SAGSE will be present all multinational companies, the most importante leading firms of the international market, along with all Argentine manufacturers and Latin producers of machines and technology in the sector.

What expectations do you have regarding visitors arriving from Brazil? What is SAGSE's historical relationship with the Brazilian market,both in terms of visitors to the show and exhibitors?
SAGSE has been very well known for many years in the Brazilian market and, in the periods that gaming was legalized, Brazilians participated in Expos and events with groups of Argentine manufacturers.

Are you following the progress of the possible legalization of the activity in Brazil? What do you think could generate that Brazil, finally, have a regulated gaming market?
We have registered our SAGSE brand in Brazil for many years and, no doubt, at the moment when gaming is regulated, we are sure that our experience in this continent will facilitate the task of bringing the entire gaming industry to this important country.

If gaming is finally legalized in Brazil, how do you think it could affect SAGSE? Would it give a boost to the arrival of more visitors and exhibitors from Brazil? Or could a competition arise if someone decides to organize an exhibition there?
At this moment, SAGSE has no competition in Latin America in the gaming sector and, therefore, we are convinced that our company, with its international contacts plus the deep knowledge of the local market, is the one that can get together the largest number of brands and companies.
