Series of meetings to promote LOTEX continues in São Paulo

Brazilian government will hold a new meeting with investors to promote the concession auction. The first stage of the roadshow in Brazil was held on Friday in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of national and Latin American investors. So far, about 20 companies have shown interest. From leading firms (IGT, Scientific Games, Intralot) to Caixa do Brasil itself, which attended all three meetings. Also banks and local and foreign investment funds.

Meetings are held in the same format as in previous ones. Government representatives present the business model and characteristics of the concession in plenary meeting. Then investors have the opportunity to address specific issues in individual sessions.

The government's goal, in this pre-auction phase, is to attract domestic and foreign groups already active in the instant lottery market to increase competition for Lotex's exploration in the country.

The series of meetings with investors began in London, UK, on September 28 and 29. Then, the road show moved to Las Vegas, in the United States, on October 2 and 3. Although the meetings took place the day after the shooting in Las Vegas, the program went as planned.

"There was no delay and none of the investors who had confirmed their presence were missing. Incredibly, the tragedy that occurred in Las Vegas did not stop the city and the roadshow took place as planned," Mansueto de Almeida, secretary of Economic Monitoring at the Ministry of Finance, told reporters.

Mansueto Almeida and his working team represent the Ministry of Finance in the roadshow of sale of Lotex. Representatives of the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI) and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) also participate in the meeting.

Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, there will be a morning meeting with the TCU (Federal Audit Court) that will define the last details and allowances for the final authorization of the Court for the publication of the edict.
